PHP Developer
Contract: 12 - 18 month fixed term contract
Salary: up to £35,000 per annum
Location: Home based

Interviews: Wednesday 6th November 2019 We have a superb opportunity for a talented full stack/PHP developer to join our team at MCS. The next 12 months will see MCS significantly developing our website and internal systems - so if you're up for the challenge, there will be ample opportunity for you to really make your mark. Diligent and detailed, you will appreciate the importance of documenting developments and keeping change logs, demonstrating your talents for testing and bug fixing. You will be developing browser based interfaces to internal systems, but will also be converting visual layouts into fully functional web pages. MCS has been the voice for our seas for 35 years- you'll be joining a passionate and committed team aiming to create positive changes so everyone can benefit from clean seas, vibrant coasts and sustainable wildlife. Key Skills: - Able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge of PHP in a Synfony / Doctrine environment (experience with Laravel and able to learn Synfony would also be great)
- Demonstrative skills in MySQL, JavaScript and HTML
- Experience of working with a bespoke CMS
- Able to translate requirements into practical, workable solutions that make good use of our platform and technology
