Process and production engineer (Electronic)CalneCompetitive Salary + Days Based Role + Benefits Package + Pension + 25 Days Holiday & Bank HolidaysExcellent opportunity for an engineer from an electronic manufacturing background to join a company that will offer you an autonomous role where you will manage new products into the manufacturing process through to manufacture and have the ability to progress within the global group.This is an exciting time to join this global engineering company as they are investing into new state of the art machinery to be able to manufacture products that are at the cutting edge of engineering technology.The primary function of this role is to provide technical expertise to enable the manufacture of customer products to the highest quality standard and support associated manufacturing processes and equipment including improvement and technology projects.The ideal candidate will come from an Electronic manufacturing company where you have taken customer specs from conception through to manufacture.This is a great role for an engineer to join a business that will offer you a technically challenging role with lots of variety and amazing career opportunities.The role:*Dealing with customer requirements, processes, customer visits and audits.

*Be the first point of contact for customers for any engineering related queries.

*Providing operating procedures and related documentation for current and new customer's product.

*Providing agreed and appropriate work instructions, equipment processes and procedures enabling manufacturing staff to build quality product at the first attempt.

*Identifying and resolving product and process related issues and barriers to success and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.

*Applying current best practice manufacturing techniques and ensuring awareness as to the suitability of the product for manufacturing.

*Support New Product Introduction.

*Introduce/implement Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and adopt a pro-active approach.

*Research and implementation of new manufacturing processes.The person:*A degree in engineering.

*Experience in electronic engineering and electronic components.

*Proven track record and technically competent in with PCB's.

*Experience of New Product Introduction (Essential)

*Lean and 6 sigma experience.
