This family run business supply services and equipment to a wide range of commercial, industrial and domestic clients. Well established in the area, they have cemented a reputation for quality and reliability with their clients. Now due to continued demand, a doubling of turnover and looking to future proof the business, they are creating a new position for an Applications Engineer to take a pivotal role within the business and relieve some pressure from the Directors. In this role you will be dealing with customer enquiries providing solution options and quotations to ensure that projects are secured. This will partly be an office based position but will also require travel to sites in the aream although most are within 50 miles. Initially you will be working closley with the MD to develop your technical and product knowledge, before moving on to work autonomously. You will become the technical solutions expert for the business and ensure work keeps coming in through successfully quoting for projects and provide design support where required for on going projects.

The Role:

*Liaising with customers to handle enquiries and compile quotes for work

*Travel to sites to assess requirements

*Providing technical assistance and expertise to the service department

*All associated paperwork and management activitiesThe Person:

*Mechanical Engineer with knowledge of the pump industry

*Ideally from a heavy industry - i.e. Water Services, Utilities, Environmental, Agriculture, Oil & Gas, etc background
