Group Software Developer - £30k A large company who operate within the timber industry are looking to recruit a Group Software Developer to work from any of their southern offices and from home. The Role This position involves working as part of the wider software development team and liaising with various diffferent business managers and end users. You will assist in the development of the industry-specific operating and reporting system which is built on SQL Server. This position offers the opportunity to embark upon an exciting career with a fantastic company which will offer a generous salary and career progression opportunities. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology, such as Power BI. Your position will involve the following responsibilities: - Support and manage the industry-specific operating and reporting systems. - Produce reports and dashboards to present insights to the business. - Present findings to stakeholders and assist in decision-making. - Assist in the development of the companies IT systems and processes. - Travel between offices as required across the UK. Person Specification To be a good fit for this role you should have IT industry experience and be keen to learn a brand-new industry specific technology. To be able to do this you should have the following technical experience: - Experienced with SQL Server, specifically T-SQL querying - Have a working knowledge of ERP systems, e.g. NAV, SAP, Netsuite etc. - A solid understanding of Microsoft office and related technologies. You should also have excellent communication skills as well as the desire to learn. Please note - this role will include regular UK-wide travel with some overnight stays and periods spent away from home.
