Company client currently recruiting for a Buyer, specifically from a soft services background, on behalf of a Client I am currently working with who are based in Birmingham. The role with focus on carrying out the effective procurement of materials and services in support of Direct spend categories. The successful candidate with also be flexible to support the broader procurement business needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Tactical Management of categories to ensure delivery of objectives defined by the Procurement Category Manager

* Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with procurement processes

* Conducting RFQ and tender processes through to negotiating with suppliers & drafting contracts

* Monitoring and management supplier performance & carrying out key supplier reviews

Key Experience

* Excellent Communication skills both internally and with 3rd party suppliers

* Strong planning and organisational skills

* Commercial Awareness

* Soft services background
