About The Role
As part of our exciting growth and transformation, we're looking for a talented individual to join our technical function team as a Senior Middleware Specialist in order to support the rollout of a number of strategic middleware products and the introduction a new emerging digital identity and security product. The role will offer an exceptional opportunity to demonstrate existing middleware support and administration skills as you enhance and expand the current platform as well as up skilling in the new Gemalto technology with the ultimate aim of becoming an SME in this important software solution.
As the Senior Middleware Specialist You will be trained to be responsible for providing support to ensure effective transition and 'Go Live' of the Gemalto products. The primary technology focus of which is Java and Apache Tomcat. You will also have the opportunity to learn and exploit the Administration and Configuration of the existing IBM and Adobe middleware technologies which underpin the Digital strategy being implemented. Where there are gaps in your knowledge levels, this is a great opportunity to learn and develop your technical skill with all of the products in use by the client including IBM middleware, Adobe and Gemalto solutions to become a highly skilled individual.
About You
Proven experience working with Middleware technologies managing the administration and configuration
Experience of Apache Tomcat administration and configuration
Knowledge of JCE - Java Cryptography Extension administration and configuration
Knowledge of Java Runtime Environment administration and configuration
Experience in the design, build, deployment and high availability support of Application Server solutions
Hands on Linux experience
Solid Shell Scripting experience
Available for out-of-hours support, on a rota basis
