Role and Responsibilites

As a You will play a key part of a systems, software engineering and electronics team working on project delivery, service provision and product development. The role encompasses bidding for, designing, implementing, testing, obtaining customer acceptance and after-sales support of systems for the International Defence and Industrial market sectors.
 
You will be involved in specific projects such:Secure document and email management systems using advanced cryptography.Development of embedded software for next generation hardware components.Development of the company's next generation of Vehicle Health and Usage Monitoring device firmware and support software.Development of systems to support embedded products primarily using desktop applications.
Key Skills
 The ability to program in at least one OO language from C#, .Net, Java or C++.Knowledge with at least two of:Cloud development.Enterprise Solution development.Embedded programming.SQL Database programming.An understanding of cryptography principles.An understanding of Software Configuration Management and Issue Management 
Desirable Skills (not essential)
 Knowledge of UML or other system Modelling technology.knowledge of Cryptographic software design.Ability to design and develop OO solutions for implementation in C++ on Windows or Linux.Skills in other languages e.g. C or Python.Knowledge of embedded systems e.g. C/C++ with gcc/g++ and familiarity of cross-compilation and Make.Knowledge of implementing software for TCP/IP socket communications.Web application development knowledge.
