Senior Quantity SurveyorSenior Quantity Surveyor | Developer | Kent This Senior Quantity Surveyor position with an established developer who deliver small stand-alone developments to larger communities, primarily around London and the South East of England. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be heading up a variety of projects in Kent / Surrey which are all within an hour commute of my client's office in Maidstone.This is a great chance to join an award-winning house builder passionate about their workforce and invest heavily in their training and development programs. Key duties and responsibilities: Manage costs for the site, ensuring targets are met by managing and controlling the budget and valuationsManaging the procedures and processes of all sub-contractorsTrain and manage junior staffSupervise and manage on the financial aspects of certain developments.Liaise with development teams.Prepare and update procurement programmes.Maintain and review the Approved List of Subcontractors.Prepare Subcontract tender documentation.Monitor material purchasing costs to incorporate in contract financial reports.Attend subcontract pre-order meetings. Prepare Subcontract tender documentation. Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor positionPrevious experience working for a developer or residential main contractorProven track record in a Quantity Surveyor roleGood knowledge of the Construction industry processes and procedures.Qualified to HND level or higher with a valid CSCS cardAble to work on own initiative, with the drive to take ownership of projectsKnowledge of ICT and software systems.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Understanding of standard forms of contract and reporting procedures.Understanding of methods of measurement.Strong knowledge of building regulations Salary and package for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position£60,000 - £70,000 per annum.
