IT Project Manager -Croydon - up to £60kpa DOE

My client, a global insurance broker and risk management services firm are currently looking to expand their Information Technology Division, with a Project Manager to be based in their Croydon office.

The Information Technology Division manages, implements and supports the overall technology requirements within the organisation. It provides a strategy, formulated in close alignment with the business, to deliver these requirements. It aims to establish a deep level of professionalism and confidence in the IT service, change delivery capability & overarching strategy.

The role involves planning and managing the delivery of one or more discrete projects, on a day to day basis, establishing the project structure, roles and teams; developing and maintaining plans; identifying and managing risks; and monitoring and reporting progress. You will need to work with key stakeholders to clarify project outputs, and timescale, quality and cost criteria; and provide leadership, guidance and coaching to the project team.

Responsibilities:

*Defining and agreeing project scope, outputs, and timescale, quality and cost criteria to ensure business requirements are understood and agreed.

*Defining and establishing the project structure, roles and teams to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.

*Planning, managing, monitoring and reporting on the work of project teams to deliver the outputs to the agreed timescale, quality and cost criteria.

*Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable the achievement of project objectives.

*Ensuring projects comply with Group methodology and governance.

*Integrating suppliers into the project and managing all parties via an integrated delivery plan

*Assembling, managing, motivating and coaching project staff and teams to deliver agreed project and personal objectives.

*Managing and documenting project risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits to enable the achievement of project objectives.

*Managing external IT suppliers including Service Contracts, Invoices and access for installation & maintenance.

*Ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the team.

*Ensuring effective team development.
