Senior Quantity Surveyor - 2 year contract, Warrington, £400/dWe are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a 2 year contract starting ASAP. The role will require travel and the contractor will spend 50% of time at Dounreay and 50% of time in Warrington. Responsibilities of the role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be required to:Provide commercial support to projects being responsible for a range of commercial activities (contract management, change management, compensation event etc.)Report to Commercial ManagerAssist in management of the commercial and contractual aspects with the customer and ensuring compliance within the required corporate governance and approvals. Management of Suppliers and Subcontractors and liaise with Procurement.Assist with applications for Payment, managing customer payments certificates including challenging any reductions / withholding noticesAssisting with Change Management, including Compensation events, Early Warning Notices, Other Notices under the Contract, KPI assessment, Attend Risk Reduction meetings, Respond to customer Project Managers Instructions, Maintain change management registersAttendance and commercial input to client project meetings as requiredMonitoring and interpreting weekly and monthly reports with the customer and ensure all actions are carried out as appropriate and matters are recorded.Fully understand the head contract terms and conditions and how these flow down to the Subcontract supply chain.Requirements:Experience of Projects working as Main Contractor / Tier 2 is preferred in any one of the following sectors: defence, power and process, oil and gas, utilities, nuclear, construction, transmission and distribution. The candidate will have several years previous experience in the commercial management of a multi-disciplined major project.Experience using the NEC suite of contract documents and specifically change management, subcontract management and the management of contracts from contract award to final account.A good understanding of cost models/business models in relation to NEC, familiarity with accounting practices, commercial audits, forecasting and valuationsA good understanding of contract terms and conditionsGood excel/word/power-point skillsBe an enthusiastic, positive and flexible team member and be prepared to travel and work away from the home location as necessaryPlease apply by submitting your CV.
