Real Time Recruitment Solutions https://www.rtrs.co.uk Electronic Design Engineer, Rugby, £38,000-£42,000I am currently working in partnership with a global, established leader in the designing, developing and manufacturing of innovative inventory management systems who are looking to grow their exceptionally talented engineering team and have a vacancy for an Electronic Design Engineer.
Your role will encompass the design and development of embedded electronics and associated activities. You will be responsible for interpreting a design specification and developing a solution from concept to production. This will include component selection, circuit design, circuit board layout, firmware development (typically C, C++ for PIC microprocessors), coordinating with other members of the development team, liaising with suppliers and transferring solution to production teams.
You will be involved in the development of existing products, including identification of design faults and development of appropriate resolutions, together with the design of new solutions. Will be expected to document product information and processes as required and will be involved in product Safety/EMC compliance activities as part of product testing and certification.
You will report to the Electronics Development Manager and will work as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team liaising internally with software and mechanical engineers to ensure that the products are designed in a cohesive manner to the highest possible level of quality.
