Opportunity to build a next-generation software product built in .Net Core. The software you write will be used in hundreds of places throughout the UK with thousands of daily users benefiting from your ability to build reliable, scalable, event-driven systems.You'll get involved in all stages of the SDLC, with the opportunity to try new things too such as Front-End or Native Mobile. Your focus will be primarily on building and maintaining a collection of micro services for the .net core platform which will support both customer-facing and back-office modules for our next-gen product.
Some of the core quality attributes we expect from your work as an engineer include conceptual clarity, testability, scalability, and design flexibility. You must be able to understand and remember abstract software design patterns and transpose them easily to a varied range of technologies and scenarios
Responsibilities:
Analyse and define software requirementsIdentify risks, benefits and impacts of possible implementation optionsCreate and defend estimatesDesign with clarity scalability and reliability in mindSupport your designs with balanced logical argumentsBe aware of the product release timeline, and complete your commitments in good timeWrite tests for your code in line with requirementsEvaluate third-party software and construct reliable integrationsRefactor and maintain performance of existing code as a regular exerciseFollow and contribute to software development processes and standardsIdentify opportunities for optimisation and/or the use of effective new technologyKey Tech is all modern C# .Net, bonus points for the following:
Service-Oriented architectureExperience with Cloud providersExperience with CI/CD build pipelines
