Do you have an interest in developing professional audio products used by Sky and BBC?I'm looking for a Software Engineer to join a graphical user interface team based near Halifax with an exceptional knowledge of Javascript / ECMA 6 and an understanding of React JS.
You will be involved in all parts of the software lifecycle, from specification and design through to maintenance.
As part of the role you will become an expert in ReactJS/Redux, WebSockets, Unit Testing, TDD/BDD, SASS/CSS, RXJS, E2E/Selenium, CI/CD and upsill opportunities in Java and NodeJS.
If you have any interest in Audio, this role is perfect for you.
Essential Skills
Exceptional knowledge of JavaScript / ECMA 6An understanding of modern frontend frameworks such as AngularJS / ReactJS + Redux (preferred) / VueJS
Strong HTML5 / CSS3 skillsVersion Control with Git / SVN knowledge
The role
Planning & reporting
You will need to break down specifications and designs into a set of development tasks and estimate the time required to develop each.You will be required to contribute towards the planning of software releases and report progress against development schedules.
Software design and development
You will be required to design, implement and maintain GUI software on new products to a high standard of quality and reliability.You will be expected to integrate and test your own software before handing it over to Product test engineers.You will fault find and resolve allocated software issues. Maintaining technical documents is also a feature of this role.
Software support
In this role, you will need to provide support to both internal and external customers.On occasions you may be asked to work off-site either in the UK or abroad.Some out of hours and weekend work may be necessary to meet the needs of our customers.
Team working
You will be expected to attend and contribute to team meetings and take some responsibility for the team function.In addition, you will follow the department's procedures and processes.
