The role
We are seeking an Application Packaging Officer to take ownership of the application deployment process including discovery, packaging, SCCM deployment UAT and distribution.  You will be responsible for thoroughly testing packages and maintaining packages from a security and application enhancement perspective. Liaising with suppliers in the resolution of issues and conflicts with 3rd party products as well as reviewing releases, upgrades and fixes available from system software suppliers.   This is a great opportunity to work for a local authority so please apply if you think this is the right role for you.  This role is subject to a DBS Enhanced Check.  About you
BSc in relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience. Extensive experience and knowledge of packaging (e.g. Wise Studio InstallShield and/or Flexera AdminStudio), Profiling and Publishing Citrix applications, VMware (Virtual Machine) environment and use of scripting languages e.g. VBScripting (Visual Basic Scripting), PowerShell and AutoIt.  Proficient in the frameworks and principles on which networks, systems, equipment and resources are based and also be familiar with telecommunications and networking protocols.  Knowledge of applications like App-DNA for assisting in upgrade analysis and Xperf (Microsoft Performance Analyser) and Process Monitor for trouble-shooting applications is also required.   You will also have the ability to communicate effectively.  About Camden
