Job Title: Test Engineer

Location: Southampton

Duration: 3 Months initially ( Inside of IR35 )

The client is looking for a experienced technical Test Engineer to join our test community within the Engineering group. You will work alongside an established team in developing the test automation framework for an agile investment project using public cloud architecture. You will be responsible for delivering the test activities to meet the requirements and ambitions of our stakeholders, whilst contributing to effective agile delivery.

Experience:

You will need to demonstrate your track record against the following criteria:

*Proven experience of delivering automated test frameworks in a test-first CI/CD environment is essential

*Proven analytical skills, designing and implementing BDD feature files for functional and non-functional test activities is essential

*Proven technical skills in most of the following is preferred: Azure DevOps, C#, Cucumber, Gherkin, Specflow, SQL, Visual Studio

*Experience of testing on a cloud platform is ideal

*Experience of data testing and ETL

*Experience of allocating and prioritising own work whilst collaborating effectively with other team members

*Good knowledge of agile methodologies and software engineering best practice, advising on process improvement

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and customers

*Awareness of geospatial systems and technologies is desirable but not essential

*This is a technical role and requires expert knowledge of data testing, ETL processes and developing a test automation framework in a CI/CD environment
