My client is seeking an experienced IT professional to establish and provide strategic and operational leadership as Director of the newly-created division of the Information & Communication Technology Services (ICTS) department.

This cross-functional Division will have responsibility for supporting strategic alignment and tertiary level governance of ICT at the client, including support and coordination across the domains of demand and portfolio management, governance, risk and compliance, metrics and reporting, and enterprise architecture.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Driving and supporting the prioritisation, delivery and benefit realisation measurement of the clients ICT project portfolio
  2. Managing the support for Governance, Risk and Compliance,
  3. Coordination and maintenance of ICT Policy Register
  4. Establishing, coordinating and maintaining the Enterprise Architecture practice
  5. Monitoring and reporting on metrics/KPA's relevant to the department
  6. Managing the Division's human resources, budget and expenditure
  7. Contribution to the departmental strategy as a member of the ICTS leadership team

Appointment to this position requires: * a minimum of ten years relevant industry and discipline experience in an ICT environment, at least five years of which are in a managerial role * a relevant tertiary qualification (NQF level 8) * proven experience relevant to at least three of responsibilities 1- 4 above * relevant and valid certification and/ or training in at least two of the major domains indicated in the responsibilities 1-4 above
