About this roleThe Consultant is responsible for working with the Director to deliver the technology solution that enables the modernization of the overarching access system(s). This includes resourcing the team, creating an operating rhythm for a geographically dispersed staff, providing financial forecasts, working with key stakeholders on the business team including product managers, business analysts, project managers and architects along with helping advise on architectural and platform considerations.The primary objective is to deliver a cloud based (AWS) solution to an agreed roadmap throughout this multi-year project. The solution will consist of both integration of 3rd party components as well as internal development which can support a large number of end users and use cases. Best practices in performance, auto-scaling, security, cloud-native services and business continuity are vital to a successful solution. Major Areas of Consulting AccountabilityAssist with the technology development of the roadmapDefine and implement a commercially viable cloud strategy that meets business needs.Lead all propositions to meet ongoing business needsSupport business teams for client presentations and strategy updatesDrive organizational efficiencies in alignment with corporate strategies around headcount, location and leverage of corporate assets. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and SkillsExperience with managing large scale globally distributed systemsExperience with Cloud Services (AWS), Authentication and Authorization systemsPrevious experience in developing Authentication/Authorization systems a plusExperience managing geographically dispersed team using Agile methodologiesComfortable working in a multi-location multi time zone environment, with remote stake holders and dependent teamsStrong communication and presentation skills including the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate across all management and organizational levelsProven organizational skills; Ability to multi-task; Deadline and detail oriented with demonstrated ability to deliver on commitmentsSuitable candidates should submit their CV in the first instance
