Backend Software Developer / Engineer (Java 8 JVM Web REST API AWS). Want to work on a revolutionary new sports streaming / data platform to rival the likes of Sky and BT Sport within a collaborative, technology driven environment?

As a senior member of an elite development team you will design and develop backend functionality for a highly complex sports data and live streaming platform. Most of the work is Greenfield development to white label their technology; as a Backend Software Developer you take ownership of complex and interesting technical projects, delivering live data with extremely low latency through to a global client base including betting companies and major broadcasters.

The technology stack is based on Java and JVM technologies (Hazelcast, Guava, Jackson, Logback) deploying to the cloud (AWS and Google App Engine) using Continuous Integration techniques.

You'll be working in a collaborative, technology driven environment - making technology decisions and contributing to product strategy.

Requirements:

Extensive core Java backend development experience

Experience with Hazelcast or similar framework

Experience of building REST APIs and knowledge of HTTP protocols

Good knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS / Google Cloud preferred)

Full lifecycle development experience with a good knowledge of software architecture

Good understanding of DevOps culture; experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet desirable

Excellent communication skills, collaborative team player
