Role summaryTo act as the primary technical authority on architectural design requirements for primarily Microsoft-based systems, authentication and related infrastructure -on premise, cloud and hybrid. Providing support to applications architects on network and security infrastructure requirements. Working with supplier architects to ensure delivery or review and sign-off of solution designs, high level and low level design documents. Key Responsibilities: Technical design authority over all Microsoft, Citrix, and related infrastructure services within Dixons Carphone Group IT, plus responsibility for influencing strategy across infrastructure globally Responsible for influencing budget decisions in excess of up to £20m per year Gain organizational commitment for all high-level infrastructure plans, and initiate and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Senior Management, Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, and other Systems Architects. Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company's existing IT architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
