Im currently looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer for a 3 - 6 months contract based in Sydney CBD or Macquarie Park starting ASAP.This role is a technical hands-on role and will use your technical cloud and application experience to drive digital cloud strategy across the business.About the role: Contribute to the Cloud & Digital strategy in its architecture and design to support the future business direction, capability and adaptation of the cloudProvide expertise regarding Cloud Implementation for both infrastructure and applications in Microsoft AzureDesign and architect future client use cases and processesDesign and implement the continuous integration and release process that deliver high-quality software from development to production environmentsDevelop and maintain automation scripts for build, test, deployment of the applications and the setup of their computing platformsMonitor and tune the applications and their computing platforms to deliver desired performance and availabilityImplement monitoring, logging and alerting processes and tools for application health, performance and securitySkills needed to be successful: Minimum of 2 years of Azure hands on experienceExperience with the integration of cloud services with on-premise technologies from Microsoft and other SaaS providersExperience with cloud service operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notificationsSolid foundational understanding of networking and core Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and routing in distributed networksStrong understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure and stack of services for IT service delivery and infrastructure (VM, SQL, VNET, User defined routes, Azure Site Recovery, Traffic Manager, Azure Automation, Storage, ARM Templates, Azure Load balancer, API Gateway, Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure AD)Extensive knowledge about API designs and use to integrate servicesA working understanding with CI/CD tools such as VSTS or equivalentStrong understanding of cloud migration techniques (on premise to Cloud Platforms)Solid understanding of security and compliance frameworks, standards and implementation in public cloud environmentsInterviews for this role are starting next week so please apply ASAP for a chat about this position.For more information please speak to Jamie Hanlon at Progressive IT 0292851000
