About The Role

Here at The Coventry we are on a journey to modernise our software delivery whilst also adopting a cloud first approach as we on-board and transition to AWS. We are currently looking to appoint a DevOps Engineer who will be an experienced practitioner of Software Delivery through automation, looking to move the society forwards in its journey to deliver software solutions efficiently through automation, CI/CD processes and tooling. Demonstrating a keen DevOps mind-set, you will help lead our engineering teams move towards a collaborative model for delivery through adoption of automated improvements in CI/CD, adoption of metrics and team ownership of solutions. This is an exciting time to join us as we embark on this journey as you will have the opportunity to input at an early stage and help shape our future.

About You

Essential Skills and Experience:

Strong analytical, design and communication skills

Experience of Agile development methodologies

Experience of building either Microsoft .NET or Java application stacks

Windows Server and/or Linux/UNIX exposure

Jenkins (Administering, configuration and pipeline creation)

AWS (Certified Solutions Architect Associate desirable or equivalent depth of knowledge)

Proven experience in working with VCS solutions, ideally Git with GitHub Enterprise

Experience of configuring/managing/using at least 2 other common tools in the CI/CD toolchain such as:

Artifactory

SonarCube

Ansible

Packer

Terraform

Vault

Desirable:

Jenkins certification

Experience of using JIRA and Confluence

Experience of working in financial services
