Senior Service Operations Manager UK Utilities RegulatorDigital, Data & Technology -DDaTGlasgow based office

A UK independent national Regulatory Authority is seeking a highly experienced Senior Service Operations Manager to lead and influence their team and stakeholders on the new shaping of their infrastructure strategy. THE COMPANY

This is achieved by promoting value for money, promoting security of supply and sustainability, for present and future generations of consumers, domestic and industrial customers the supervision and development of markets and competition regulation and the delivery of government schemes. THE ROLE

The purpose of this position whilst leading a small team is for the shaping of the infrastructure strategy and the technical delivery in order to meet targets. This role will have overall accountability for server infrastructure, network services, database administration, storage and back up services, mobile and authentication services.

The role will include the responsibilities (but not limited to) outlined below:The delivery on an Enterprise IT infrastructure and service operation, provide architectural guidance and implement plans to ensure solutions and provide high levels of performance and security.Enterprise class improvements and alignments in physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure

Develop and maintain continual improvement plans including managing the planning, specification, design, implementation, configuration, maintenance and optimisation of Sever infrastructure NetworkLead multiple initiatives to ensure goals are achieved for availability, performance, security and cost for business in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Creation of business- focused service portfolio focused on business outcomes and strategic value. YOUR SKILLS

This position requires a dedicated and focused individual. The background and skills required are;

Experience in leading high performance infrastructure teams.Extensive experience working in mixed cloud/ on premises environments (Azure ecosystem)Managing server infrastructure, network services, Unified communication services, storage and back up services, desktop services, mobile and authentication services.Experience of large-scale infrastructure automation and orchestration solutions.Strong background in telemetry, monitoring and logging of large scale platforms.IN RETURN.
