Our Government client based in Barnsley are looking for someone to test a number of hypotheses in relation to an Income Management product and its potential to act as a low-cost solution for local authorities.

This will be their first experience of running a Discovery project and they would like to follow the process as recommended in the GOV.UK Service Manual as closely as possible such that after the project we'll have a good understanding of how to proceed ourselves in future.

We'd like user research sessions to be run in our offices to enable key stakeholders from to join in, but are happy to attend sessions in neighbouring towns/cities if your facilities allow for better sessions to be run.

Skills/ExperienceHave experience of running succesful Discovery projects in accordance with the guidance in the GOV.UK Service ManualHave experience setting up and running user-research sessions with a variety of remote stakeholders, able to marshall them appropriatelyBe capable of producing a business case and value for money report justifying continuation into an Alpha phase or cessationBe able to complete the project to the timescales specifiedWill visit the lead team to present their delivery proposalPrepared to comply with local policies and procedures in respect to mandatory security checks and legal GDPR obligationsApproach and methodology is consistent with the best practice guidance outlined in the GOV.UK Service ManualHave the ability to impart knowledge and skills to our in-house team during delivery of the projectHave additional resources available to call on to rescue delivery timelines should significant slippage occur
