A global leading organisation based in London is currently recruiting for an IT Security Analyst to be involved in all aspects of IT security from communicating any information security risks and issues to business managers to Performs basic risk assessments for small information systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading company currently going through a large transformation. The IT security Analyst will be proactive in terms of investigating security breaches in accordance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

*Investigates security breaches in accordance with established procedures and security standards. Investigates and reconciles violation reports and logs generated by automated systems. Integrates findings from other investigators, and compiles reports and recommendations for management follow-up. Leads the continual monitoring and remediation processes following an incident.

*Assists users in defining their needs for new access rights and privileges. Monitors for suspicious logical access controls relating to one or more platforms in order to provide continuous and secure access to information services and/or the infrastructure resources supporting them.

*For all services and systems within identified remit, maintains auditable records and user documentation. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of evidence required for internal and external audit, compliance or regulatory reporting, security accreditations, and business recovery plans, particularly in the data collection and compilation/ production/ distribution phases of the exercise.

*Handles all enquiries relating to security administration with only infrequent reference to more senior staff for assistance.

*Applies and maintains specific procedures and security controls as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of business information systems and infrastructure components.

*Contributes to vulnerability assessments. Identifies potential threats to the confidentiality, integrity or availability of the system. Determines when security issues should be escalated to a higher level, to enhance resilience to unauthorised access.

Basic Skills/Experience

*Shows aptitude for becoming effective and persuasive in the presentation of security management concepts and local procedures, both orally and in writing.

*Has obtained an understanding of the need for, and is conversant with, own organisation's overall security policies.

*Fully understands the application of security policies to those IT activity areas which fall within any defined specific scope of activity.

*Has an understanding of the principles of audit and compliance.

*Understands the relevance of security standards and accreditations in providing assurance to customers.
