Systems Administrator - Windows/Active Directory/VMware - 6 months - Feltham

My client in the gaming sector is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator who will be responsible for System administration of both corporate and production systems including software, infrastructure and server hardware (Servers, Blade Systems & SAN).

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintaining, installing and decommissioning server hardware and software components, ensuring new systems being built are in accordance with standards and operational requirements.

- Perform on-going performance tuning, hardware upgrades and optimisation as required.

- Installation, configuration and maintenance of network services such as: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and File services.

- Server functions such as, Login Scripts, Group Policy Objects, Directory Structure, Shares and File Security

- Management of AD users, groups, and configuration of Active Directory security.

- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

- Handle issues that are escalated from Support Desk

- Assist with support regarding technology related queries.

Experience Required:

- Experience managing and maintaining an enterprise level server and storage platform of at least 100 Microsoft server nodes

- Advanced understanding of MS Server Operating Systems (Windows 2012 preferably), DNS, DHCP and AD including practical experience of implementing and troubleshooting to enterprise-admin level

- Experience supporting Microsoft technologies such as Exchange, SQL Server and Group Policy Objects

- Experience of managing and maintaining a multi-site, multi-node VMware VSphere environment including installation, configuration, upgrades, performance tuning and fault finding.

- Recent experience in Domain and Server migration to new platforms

- Recent using VEEAM in a VMWare environment.

- Good knowledge of system monitoring
