2nd Line IT Support Technician (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

£22,000 to £26,000Excellent opportunity for an IT Support Engineer with experience of 2nd line or 3rd line support to join a growing business in a varied and interesting role.This company are specialists within the communications industry. Due to an increase in project based work they are looking for a 2nd line support engineer to come in and support for the team for a 6 month fixed term contract - immediate start. There is the potential for this to be extended for the right candidate.The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a 2nd line or 3rd line IT support role. It would be beneficial if you are available to interview and start asap!In this role you will provide specialist support to all users ensuring that all functions are carried out legally and in accordance with best practice.Fantastic opportunity to join an established business in a varied and interesting role with the potential to be extended longer term.The Role:

*To provide first and second line 'help desk' user support for designated applications software

*To provide first and second line hardware support for desktop and server applications.

*To provide remote support for mobile staff, home users and other Group sites

*To maintain the telephone system

*To be the contact point for the company mobiles - arranging upgrades, repairs and new equipment

*To provide technical knowledge for IT and electronic systems that aid the production equipment including the shop floor data collection systems

*Responsible for server backups and media

*To carry out the role of system administration all software packages in use

*Undertake to comply with the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and its associated policies

*Any other duties that may be required from time to time.The Person:

*Educated to A level or equivalent (computing or business)

*Qualified in PC Windows Admin/MS Office support

*Established business background

*Working as part of a team
