Finance Analyst (Planning & Reporting) - Kingswinsford with travel - 6-month contract Our client in the utilities industry requires a Finance Analyst with planning and reporting experience to join their team in Kingswinsford with occasional travel on a 6-month contract. The role

You will report and support the delivery of performance planning for the Field Operations Planning and Reporting team, by analysing and driving business performance.

Responsibilities

As part of your responsibilities, you will:Conduct in depth modelling of complex Gross Margin and Capex activity for the client's metering and segments.Deliver performance reports, forecast updates, and insightful plans.Provide key stakeholders with a comprehensive financial support which covers their actual and forecasted spend and performance.Identify and communicate risks and opportunities clearlyQuery any discrepancies in control weaknesses and expenditure and cost inefficiency, above the forecast and plan.Challenge control weaknesses regarding assets and drive for EBITDA improvements and revenue improvements.Be responsible for maintaining governance procedures in relation to access into the SAP and Delegation of Authority finance systems.

Skills:An accounting qualification such as ACMA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalentAn ability to interpret data and present it clearly and logicallyHigh level analytical and numerical skillsGood interpersonal and presentation skills with excellent financial and commercial acumenA UK driving licence is required due to the travel requirements.

Desirable:SAP or an equivalent financial system.
