Process & Solution Architect

Duration -6 MonthsLocation: South Colonnade, London The Elektron Data Platform (EDP) Solution Architecture team have the need for a Process & Solution Architect based in London. There is a critical need to scale-up the EDP solution architecture organization and put into place a number of key governance processes and artefacts. It is a senior technology role responsible for solution design and governance of use-cases built on the Elektron Data Platform, next-generation and strategic data storage, enrichment/transformation & delivery platform, and product suite. The role will be based in the UK, in London, reporting into the Head of Solution Architecture for the EDP group. The role initially will focus on creating processes and artefact templates for several key architecture governance processes, which will ultimately be used as design documentation and checklists that ensure our large group of circa 900 development engineers are building components and project use-cases sufficiently aligned to our architecture goals and principles, and forcing as much re-use of existing capabilities as is sensible. This governance and the scale that will result is key to driving our simplification agenda across EDP Technology, and key to achieving our goal to accelerate delivery of capabilities and product use-cases. If the role is successful, after roughly 6 months the role may shift into a solution architect position, where the candidate becomes responsible for reviewing technical design of EDP components. Over the initial 6 months the candidate will hopefully grow knowledge of EDP infrastructure sufficiently for them to add value in this area. We are looking for a self-motivated and driven technologist, able to work both independently and in collaboration with other technologists, product and proposition managers at all levels. The candidate will have extensive professional experience in multiple development and architecture roles and domains (application engineering, software architecture, networking, etc.), ideally with some experience in a governance-like architecture role.
