Lead Software Engineer - AutomotiveDorking, SurreySoftware engineer role on offer for an expanding company at a brand new, state of the art manufacturing site where you'll play a key part in developing cutting edge technology for their products.Are you a software engineer with experience of automotive electronics including control software? Do you want to take the lead on projects where you will be regarded as the technical expert?Established over 100 years this company design, develop, manufacture and service specialist vehicles for a range of companies and industries across the globe. They are in the process of developing pioneering products and currently require a software engineer to take the lead on their work.

In this role you will be responsible for setting design standards and processes for the team along with all embedded control software and HMI. This will involve training and supporting software engineers, ensuring all software is tested and approved and collaborating with mechatronic engineers to develop software that controls their specialist vehicles.The ideal person will be a software engineer who has taken the lead on projects, mentored junior engineers and has written software for hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical or engine control systems using CAN Bus systems. You will be familiar with object orientated programming languages such as C, C+, Python etc. and will be keen to undertake large amounts of training to become a key part of the companies' new technology.

The Person:*Experience of developing control panel software using C

*An understanding of automotive electronics (CAN-based control systems and sensors)

*Experience of using 1-D software to develop control software

*An ability to manage and develop a small team
