IMS Report Writer

Would you like to Support a World Class Fast Jet Training Programme with the RAF? We currently have a vacancy for a IMS Report Writer at our site in RAF Valley.

As a IMS Report Writer, you will be Supporting the Hawk IMS deployment by responding to end user reporting requests and queries and coordinating responses with other IMS Subject Matter Experts as directed by the UK Hawk IMS Capability Development Manager. You will have the unique opportunity to work directly with the RAF Customer on site at RAF Valley assisting and ensuring that we have available Aircraft for the world class fast jet training programme.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on the Market Leading Maintenix maintenance solution as well as provide you with exposure of the complete Security Clearance process enhancing ability for future opportunities.

 

Your main responsibilities as a IMS report Writer will involve:

Supporting the UK Hawk IMS deployment by responding to end user reporting requests & queries and coordinating responses with other IMS SMEs as directed by the UK Hawk IMS Capability Development Manager.

Capture in-service observations, identify improvement opportunities and feedback to IMS core / Platform / Function / Customer Management teams as required.

 

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Experience of interpreting user needs, defining requirements and developing & deploying solutions in a complex environment

Working experience with one of the following product groups, Oracle/Postgresql Database, Data

Integrator Tools (Talend/ODI/SSIS, Reporting Tools (Jaspersoft/Cognos/SSRS), Java/Javascript

Experience in developing end-to-end analytics solutions, including system configuration, model

building, data security, and reporting

Knowledge of RESTful Web/Data Services

Experience of Data Warehousing and their design approaches

Proven SQL and PL/SQL skills

 

Desirable:

IMS discipline knowledge and a good understanding of the relationship with interfacing / contributory areas.

Awareness and basic understanding of the Project Management, Financial, Commercial and Procurement processes within BAE Systems

Experience working within an aircraft support domain.

You will have strong quantitative and analytical skills/experience and able to work with Lean Principles. You will also be an effective, credible communicator with good interpersonal skills. Being able to analyse and interpret data with a high level of attention to detail will also be key to this role.

 

Location: Warton (for 6 Months) and RAF Valley

Salary: £37,654
