Who are we?
AeroCloud Systems provides innovative IT solutions for the commercial aviation sector. We are challenging the current market with proactive and nimble development, fast execution and unrivalled support via our unique Intelligent Airport Management system (iAM).
There has been considerable market consolidation over the past few years with airports and airlines alike, seeing their requirements increasingly side-lined or ignored. They are starved for choice when it comes to IT vendors. Inevitably, this is stifling innovation, agility and value.
We have an experienced team with a comprehensive range of skill sets in aviation software with the goal of disruption in the sector.
Our ethos is simple: Listen to clients and deliver what they need.
Our clients include many small to medium-sized airports mainly in the USA. We are growing super quick and need like-minded brilliant people to help us Rocket to market leader in the sector.
Where are we based and how big is AeroCloud?
AeroCloud HQ is in the Cheshire village of Alderley edge. Our modern glass-fronted office is located just off the high street about 3 mins walk from the local train station with direct links from Manchester.
There is a prime section of restaurants, bars and sandwich shops in the village, a village green with tennis court, ping pong and plenty of fresh air.
Our other offices are Delaware USA and Sarasota USA, there is plenty of opportunities to travel and we strongly encourage our team to meet with our customers.
Our team based at Alderley is currently below 6 full-time development staff, 3 admin staff and 1 salesperson, we use some outsourced development but not much. Our plans are to grow the team to 6 people in development and keep the sales and admin the same in the medium term.
What do we need from you?
A huge part of what we do is analytics and manipulation of our raw data, we need someone to aid us in organising that data for our client's benefit.
We currently predict all factors such as arrivals, departures, behaviours, que-time metrics with regard to air passenger traffic and use AI and machine learning to do so. We are constantly looking to expand our capability and this job is posted with the view to getting someone that can help with the following:
Statistics
Predictive Analysis
Expanding our AI and Machine Learning alongside our talented developers
Adding huge value through the use of complex maths.
What would a typical day in the life at AeroCloud be?
We operate a very open and "flat" structure in the business which means anything we work on has input from commercial, UI and development. Conversations are very open and as long in the best interest of the business, ideas are encouraged.
Most days we are working on complex problems to better passenger experience whether this is, how do we present Airports with better data for delays and diverts or looking in-depth at new emerging technologies on how to better the passenger experience by harnessing our data and informing airports of how to better plan.
Often stand-ups (every week) will present the team with the opportunity to open up an issue and help each other get it sorted.
We have frequent calls with our clients over Skype and conference call, we often try and extract the challenges they face on a day to day business, so we can add more value.
You will be working alongside our CTO aiding him to create complex models and predictive capabilities within our Airport Eco System. This could involve for example taking raw data from a client and creating meaningful insights and useful information from within it.
Essentials you must have before applying.
