A large financial service provider with branches up and down the UK is looking for a Front End Developer to join them at their office in central Leeds. The role comes with some great perks including a 35 hour working week and a bonus scheme where you can earn up to 12% of your base salary annually.

Front End Developer Role Purpose:
You'll be a key factor in ensuring the company's main customer facing Digital Estate is built using best practice coding and technical development standards. This includes writing code for responsive web (mobile, tablet, desktop) as well as on mobile specific platforms (hybrid apps).
You will be responsible for developing new and existing components/elements in the Society's CMS platform, hand-writing HTML and JavaScript, testing, delivering and maintaining all areas of the public facing estate.
Working cross-division with Society Development teams and third party technical providers you'll lead the production of front-end code to ensure solutions are delivered to our required standards and meet our exacting technical specifications.
You will be responsible for hand coding the front-end User Experience for small and medium projects, with supporting roles in large Digital Change programmes.

Front end Developer Key Accountabilities:
*Responsibility for front-end coding development on small & medium projects and assistance on large transformational change programmes
*Expert in front-end web development (web and mobile) and ability to hand code in several key areas - JS frameworks / HTML5 / CSS3 / J-Query / JavaScript
*Ability to code quick, iterative working prototypes using responsive frameworks for testing and proof of concept
*Designing the Code of digital products and services to ensure they serve users needs
*Produce reliable and reusable code that can be shared across the digital estate
*Testing front-end solutions to ensure robust production code is released
*Help to review, challenge and adjust performance levels of front-end code to ensure consistent high-quality outcomes
*Assist in the execution of the LBS Digital Experience vision and carry out Digital Development activities across the User Centred Design process
*Present work by explaining the problem, opportunity, collaborative process, justification and technical considerations contributing to the solution

Front End Developer Skills & Experience Required:
*Demonstrable significant experience in coding advanced front-end web development (across web and mobile) and expert ability to hand code HTML5 / CSS3 / J-Query / JavaScript. Knowledge of programming languages (JAVA, .NET)
*Demonstrable significant experience in coding solutions for Responsive Design frameworks to an advanced level
*Experience in building/coding mobile apps
*Demonstrable significant experience in successful technical SEO development
*Experience of delivery in Test Driven Development or a similar methodology and/or with automated test frameworks
*Strong level of experience within a digital development function/department or Digital agency.
*Degree (or equivalent experience) in Web Development/Design, Software Development/Delivery, Programmatic or a related field with a strong portfolio of front-end Development work
*Planning and organisational skills and ability to manage and own multiple competing deliverables
