Commodity Buyer x 2 - Rugby - 6 Months My client is looking for two Commodity Buyers for a team based in Rugby. The role will be full time on site and the client can offer a competitive daily rate. Role Summary: Responsibility for New Naval Project Sourcing volume within the Steam rotating equipment factory Rugby supporting panel optimisation, commercial solidity, with tracking of key deliverables and ongoing schedule of work. Key Activities:This position will be report to the Parts Sourcing Fulfilment Leader NE, and will be responsible for the Cost, Quality, Fulfilment and compliance of all sourced products and services required to support the Business.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Lead Sourcing Negotiations, Strategic Projects, Rationalisation, Project Leadtime identified spend.Financial Savings/Cost reduction: Negotiate pricing and Payment terms on all purchase requisition volume assuring most competitive pricing is achieved without sacrificing Quality or fulfilment needs. Utilize all available digital tools including, Best Part Price, Cross business Volume Tableau reporting. Goal is to targeted cost savings on PO volume, and 100% compliance to No PO No Pay and Competitive bidding policies.Supplier Performance Management: Manage all aspects of supplier performance including Purchase Order Pricing, PO Placement, and PO Acceptance, Supplier Promise date commitment, delivery confirmation and payment issuance. Manage and maintain on time delivery in accordance with Targets set.Collaborate with other sourcing units and functions for Synergies of Agreements, Costing volumes and Commercial TermsBe responsible for establishing strong working relationship and communication rhythm with cross functional organizations to assure business needs are fully understood and translated into supplier strategy/supplier requirements.Take ownership of supplier performance & improvement from a Cost, Delivery and Quality perspective.Be responsible for ensuring compliance to sourcing policies and procedures including No PO No Pay and Competitive Bidding.Provide Flexible Responsive sourcing support to meet stakeholder's needs and specific evolutionary requirements.Partner with Supplier Quality to identify Supplier qualification requirements. Support Cost of Failure negotiations Ensure on Time Delivery and Supplier performance compliance.Qualifications / Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College.Experience in Sourcing, working for an Industrial or Power Generation Company.Ability to organise, access, prioritise tasks,Ability to communicate effectively at all levels Desired characteristics:Strong Customer services and results mind setTeam work.CIPS or equivalent Functional Sourcing qualificationDemonstrated technical aptitude and analytical skills.Team player and leader skillsStrong influence in negotiations and key decisionsWillingness to travel as necessary to support business requirements.
