Java Developer / Full Stack Software Engineer (Computer Science Java Oracle Web JavaScript). Are you a bright, ambitious Java Developer looking to progress your career, work on complex and interesting systems that provide daily challenges and improve your skills, learning from an experienced team of technologists?

You could be joining a hugely successful and growing commodities trading firm. As a Java Developer you'll be part of an Agile development team that cares about code quality. You will design and develop highly complex web based trading platforms; implementing new features and getting them into production quickly. You'll make improvements to the trading robots and build back office tools to aid the operation of exchanges and make changes to the underlying accounting systems.

The technology stack includes Java 8, Scala, Spring, Tomcat, Oracle and Linux. You'll be using the latest technologies and choosing the best tool for the job in a technology driven environment.

Offices based in West London with a friendly and informal "start-up atmosphere".

Requirements:

  • Degree educated; 2.1 or above gained in Computer Science from a top tier university (Red Brick, Russel Group or global equivalent)
  • Strong core Java development experience
  • Database experience (Oracle preferred)
  • Good knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborative and keen to learn / share knowledge
