The SAP BW / Analytics Support Consultant

As a member of the Analytics Support team you will provide support and best practice advice and guidance to both new and established customers. You will also work with new projects as well as existing implementations, and you will support all versions of BW from 7.0 up to BW4HANA 2.0, as well as embedded analytics.

The team supports around 30 SAP BW customers who run all versions of BW from BW 7.0 to BW4HANA 2.0. We are a SAP Platinum Partner with a growing S/4 embedded analytics and BW4HANA customer base.

This role can either be based in a Managed Services office or home-based (depending on the distance from the nearest Managed Service office). It will have the expectation of limited travel to suit the install-base business requirements and therefore there is an expectation for travel either to a customer site or company offices resulting in potential travel up to 40% of your time.

If you are a home-based consultant then you must be able to work effectively in that environment, and wherever you work you must be able to establish a good working relationship with a team that is distributed across the country.

From a technical point of view, you must have a good understanding of all aspects of SAP BW, including data extraction, data modelling and the reporting tools, but your communication skills, your attitude and your willingness to learn are just as important as your technical skills.

Technical & Functional Skills & Experience:

+ 3 years or more of hands-on SAP BW experience is essential
+ Knowledge of how to use ABAP in a BW environment is essential
+ BW4HANA experience would be an advantage
+ Experience with HANA views would be an advantage
+ Experience with CDS views would be an advantage
+ Experience in a retail environment & knowledge of POSDM would be an advantage
+ High-level knowledge of the main functional areas in SAP ERP e.g. FI, Logistics, HR, etc.
+ SAP Business Objects experience, especially with regard to connectivity to SAP BW
+ Any experience in a retail environment would be an advantage
