Lead Security Architect - Gaydon WHAT TO EXPECT Our client is looking for a Lead Security Architect with broad technical Information Security skillsets to be responsible for cryptography security architecture within our Information Security function. You will involve working with engineers and security architects, providing SME support for all cryptography security projects to help define and help deliver cryptography solutions for both traditional IT solutions and for future in vehicle and off board solutions. The Architect will create and maintain a contextual cryptography Security Architecture view over time, ensuring alignment of these views across other EA teams within the IT domains and wider community e.g. connected car. You'll also define cryptography security architecture artefacts (principles, policies, standards and patterns) in conjunctions with the Enterprise Architecture teams and maintain these artefacts within the relevant management systems. Remaining up to date with the latest cryptography concepts, standards, products and implementations will be essential, as you'll provide guidance and sponsorship for Crypto technology delivery projects, ensuring alignment across the business. The position will also involve working with wider architectural teams to create improved governance processes with clear cryptography requirements, as well as constantly review our current security measures identifying areas of weakness and recommending enhancements as part of an overall Security Programme. Further responsibilities will involve planning, researching, and designing cryptography architectures with a focus on mitigating Information Security risks. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You'll be experienced in information security and IT risk assessment, with a proven track record of delivering significant complex cryptography solutions. A degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience (Min 5-year experience in Information Security roles) will be essential and advanced IT security certifications such as CISSP is advantageous. As one of our Senior Engineers, you'll be able to work with a wide variety of people of differing technical capability with significant experience in influencing key stakeholders to establish support for uplifting security capability within other areas of the business. Experience of cryptography usage in the Automotive or Manufacturing industries would be advantageous but not essential, as well as experience in IoT technologies and managing security across a wide range of Operating systems.
