Lead Security Architect - Gaydon WHAT TO EXPECT Reporting into the Head of Security Architecture, you'll work with a small team of Security Architects to deliver significant additional capability into our client's Information Security environment, with overall responsibility for the development and maintenance of the Security tools. You'll collaborate with the wider Information Technology Management community to provide information security advice, ensuring that the appropriate technologies in place to protect the information of our client. The successful candidate will help to create and maintain a contextual to component Security Architecture view over time, as well as negotiate and demonstrate alignment to these views across other EA teams within the IT domains and wider community e.g. connected cars. Further responsibilities will involve defining security architecture artefacts (principles, policies, standards and patterns) in conjunctions with the Enterprise Architecture teams, maintaining these artefacts within the relevant management systems and create improved governance processes with clear security requirements, The role will also involve reviewing our current security measures, identifying areas of weakness and recommending enhancements as part of an overall Security Programme. You'll be central in planning, researching, and designing security architectures with a focus on mitigating Information Security risks. WHAT YOU'LL NEED We are looking for a Lead Security Architect with a strong track record and background in Information Security, with broad technical Information Security skillsets to be responsible for multiple components of security architecture within the Information Security function. As our client's capability expands, the role will grow to include management of a small team of Security Architects, therefore you'll need to be a strong communicator who can communicate complex ideas. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience (Min 5-year experience in Information Security roles) with strong experience in information security and IT risk assessment. As well as a strong understanding of security protocols, authentication, and security tools, you should also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with a wide variety of people of differing technical capability.
