DataMart Architect Workstream Lead - 8 months - Chester

My client in Chester is seeking a DataMart Architect Workstream Lead for an initial 8 month contract to be based in Chester.

The role will be working on a new programme of work to deliver an automated suite of reporting. You will be working to migrate from legacy in-house data platforms to cloud based data solutions and services using AWS and GCP Technologies

The successful candidate will have previous Agile environment experience to be active in daily stand-ups whilst maintaining close working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to maximise success.

Candidates will bring with them expertise in DataMart Architecture and work as the Workstream Lead to be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the team in the design, build and implementation of a single Finance View in the Cloud and BI Reporting solution using best of breed.

Essential skills:

*A Skilled DataMart Architect with Significant design and implementation of enterprise DataMart and data solutions for critical business reporting

*Agile development experience using cloud Data Warehouse platforms and technologies from AWS, GCP and Azure. We use AWS so it is preferable but would consider similar experience in multi cloud platforms.

*Cloud Data Warehouse platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, BiqQuery, Azure Data Warehouse.

*ETL such as Talend, Informatica, Pentaho, SSIS, Ab Initio, DataStage

*Reporting tools such as Tableau/Power BI/Google Data/Studio BOARD

*Significant experience of SQL scripting

*Data Modeling tools such as Erwin, ER-Studio and other tools

Desirable skills:

*Knowledge of Kimball dimensional modelling

*Working knowledge of Python, Ruby, Java and Bash

*Experience of delivering High-Level and Low-Level data Solution Designs

*Data Security and Privacy requirements

*Testing and QA processes
