Lead Software Developer - .NET

Spring Technology is currently working in partnership with a market leading software solutions provider in Glasgow to recruit a Senior Software Engineer to join and play a lead role in an exciting new development team working with cutting edge technology to develop highly innovative software solutions.

The Role

As a Lead Software Developer you will lead a small team, advocating best practice, coding and Agile standards. You will be responsible for the effective line management of your team as well as facilitating SCRUM events, removing impediments, and working with the Product Owner as the sole senior developer to drive and develop valuable iterations of the product.

The Responsibilities

*Work with the Product Owner to manage and organise the product backlog to deliver value at the earliest opportunity.

*Conduct team member reviews and general line management tasks (absence, lateness, annual leave etc.)

*Actively support and grow new members of staff in the team

*Develop quality software solutions for Windows and Web applications using C# with Microsoft SQL Server

*Develop robust, scalable high availability API solutions using the latest .NET stack

*Work collaboratively as part of a self-organising cross functional team

The Requirements

*Work collaboratively and have willingness to take responsibility for your own development and that of the whole team

*Personable, confident and hardworking, with excellent organisational and communication skills

*In-depth knowledge of the SCRUM framework with experience leading a SCRUM team.

*Experience developing RESTFul Web API's with ASP.NET Core

*Angular web development, HTML5, TypeScript, SASS

*SQL Server with a sound understanding of relational database design

*Knowledge and experience of writing unit test and mocking utilising either the TDD or TAD approach to test automation.

*Practical experience development in line with SOLID design principles

*Ability to work within established coding standards

*Understanding of Continuous Integration with experience working within a CI / CD environment
