Senior Gameplay Programmer, London, Old Street, up to £75KOur clients are looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer to join the team in our Central London studio. Our client is a dynamic games studio, founded on a wealth of traditional game development experience, blending a bunch of people who are talented and passionate about making the best free to play games.The successful Senior Gameplay Programmer will be working on gameplay across multiple platforms (iOS, Android) using the Unity engine.
This is a permanent full-time role. It is based in Old Street, London with the option to work remotely 2 days per week at the discretion of the business, in addition to a very competitive salary package.Senior Gameplay Programmer Responsibilities
Implementing all areas of the game application, including (but not exclusively) gameplay, player controls, game simulation behaviours, AI, meta-game behaviour, user interface, visual effects, audio effects, analytics hooks, and social features.Designing and writing code in a maintainable and easily updatable manner, ready for post-launch updates in response to customer feedback.Writing tools where necessary to empower artists and designers to make the game as much as possible, and providing mentoring and support to junior programmers.Be responsible for the performance of the game, both frame-rate and memory usage. Senior Gameplay Programmer REQUIREMENTS Strong technical design and code skills, preferably in C# with Unity, though strong C++ experience is acceptable in a motivated candidate.5+ years of mobile, console and/or PC development experience.At least 2 titles developed from start to release, having gone through full QA cycle, and preferably beyond to post-release support developing updates or DLC.A passion for making mobile action games and exploring new ways of making games.
