Job Title: Maintenance ElectricianLocation: Knutsford, Cheshire (WA16 8XW)Salary: £27,000 to £33,000 depending on experience (Virtually no overtime)Job Type: Full Time, PermanentWorking Hours: 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday (Potential of 9.30am - 5.30pm)The Company is a small, privately owned manufacturer of polystyrene food trays supplying supermarkets and takeaway whole-sellers since 1982. They pride themselves on maintaining and developing the factory with in-house electrical, engineering and mechanical expertise. The factory runs 24/7, but all maintenance work is carried out in the daytime, Monday to Friday. They consider the workplace to be clean and friendly, with many of their staff having worked here for over fifteen years.The Role:The vacancy is for a Maintenance Electrician who is capable of unsupervised work in a highly-automated plastics factory. The position has become available as one of their Electricians has accepted a position closer to home. Their maintenance team also consists of five Fitters.Key RequirementsEssentialExperienced with the maintenance of industrial, three phase equipmentQualified to 18th EditionCan follow a circuit diagram / schematicAble to liaise with production and maintenance colleaguesLive within a 40 min commute to the factoryDesirableCan deal with breakdowns and fault finding of automated industrial machineryFamiliar with industrial three phase infrastructure (distribution boards, SWA, isolators, contactors)Familiar with industrial machinery (pumps, motors, contactors, heaters, PID controllers, drives)Capable of routine testing of emergency lighting, frost protection and other building facilitiesPanel buildingComputer literate (install an operating system, repair PCs, update and backup software)Familiar with inverters and DC drivesCan program PLCs and use associated electronics (sensors, relays, solenoid coils)Electronics knowledge: digital and analogueSoldering: multi-pin plugs and connectors, small circuits, repairs to PCBsNew installations, including the design of both electrical and basic electronic circuitsHas worked on alarm and CCTV systemsCan carry out PAT testingCapable of minor mechanical repairsPlease note: Candidates will ONLY be considered if you fulfil the Essential requirements listed.Please click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with experience of: Electrician, 18th Edition, Electrical Engineer, Facilities, Engineer, Engineering, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Qualified Electrician, Maintenance Technician, Engineering Maintenance, Multi Skilled Electrical Technician, Installations, Maintenance Electrician, Multi-skilled Engineer, Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Engineer, Technical Engineer, Electrical Services Technician, Commercial Electrician will also be considered for this role if you have the essential requirements.
