Server Infrastructure Engineer - VMware / Citrix / Server 2012

£55000 - £62500 per day

My client is looking for a Server Infrastructure Engineer to support the business Infrastructure. You will need to have a strong working knowledge of the following technologies:

Required:

* VMware ESXi 5.5 and newer

* Windows 2008 and newer

* Financial background

* 3+ year relevant professional experience

* AD & GPO management

* San technologies

* PowerShell

* Cluster Technologies

Desirable:

* Redhat (or CentOS)

* HPE Servers

* HP DataProtector, Dell DataDomain or Avamar backup solutions

* Citrix XenDesktop & XenApp

* HP 3PAR

* Dell Compellent

* Nimble

* Isilon

* Entry level TSQL

* SCOM

* SCCM

You will be monitoring server logs escalating health alarms where needed along with identifying, troubleshooting and resolving a mix of hardware and software issues with a focus on server infrastructure, virtualisation and storage area networks. The successful candidates will be someone that is pro active and a self starter who is able to manage their own time and work load. You will be supporting the IT infrastructure Administering and Supporting existing technologies with project work being ever existing within your role.
