Project Manager

One of our public sector clients is seeking a Project Manager to join their Buckinghamshire based team. You will be responsible for the delivery of small-medium projects ranging from £2-5M, delivering requirements in line with the portfolio or project. You will be required to schedule major work packages optimising the use of business resources and the pipeline forecasting of work to ensure adequate resource planning.

Project Manager duties will include, but not limited to:

*Daily task management, prioritisation of resources and monitoring of the projects progress

*Financial planning and management of projects, up to circa £5M, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget

*Producing daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly project reports

*Ensuring the management of suppliers and/or partner contracts to reduce the impact of contractual issues

*Supporting the programme manager to develop new revenue opportunities

*Develop and manage governance and key stakeholder mapping, communications strategy and planning for projects

*Proactive engagement with key stakeholders ensuring project progress is clearly communicated

*Representing the organisations interests at meetings with key stakeholders, customers and internal resources

*Scheduling periodic customer satisfaction surveys, and ensuring remedial action plans are implemented

*Ensuring compliance with government and internal policies

*Applying change management processes and procedures within the projects

As the Project Manager you will be required to possess:

*Proven experience of project management methodologies and their application in the design, development and implementation of projects

*Have an understanding, and previous experience working on projects of either: Perimeter and Protective Security / Estates and Construction / Technical Infrastructure

*Experience managing projects of value up to £5M

*Prince2 Practitioner, APMP, ISEB Certificate in Project Management or equivalent

*Strong knowledge of financial control and management with knowledge of all aspects of the project lifecycle (and working successfully with Enterprise financial systems (Oracle))

*Proven experience in the assessment, mitigation and management of the projects risks/issues

*Previous experience with management of change within projects

*Proficiency with the use of MS Project

*Demonstrable experience of Health and Safety and Construction Design Management (CDM) in the delivery of projects
