Lead Software Engineer London to £90k

Lead Software Engineer (RoR Ruby on Rails Web). Would you like to take a lead role at a global technology company whilst remaining hands-on enjoying and perks such as flexible working and an ongoing professional development budget (training, conferences and events)?

The core platform is a highly complex distributed, real-time engine integrated to clients to enable things such as Live Chat, real-time scoring, real-time location tracking, live documentation sharing, MMO games and eLearning to name but a few.

As a Lead Software Engineer you'll lead the web engineering team responsible for the website, developer dashboards, common services and API provisioning that their end users (software developers) depend on. The focus of your role will be on writing high quality backend code that is robust and thoroughly tested as well as mentoring and providing technical leadership to the team.

You'll be based in North London, in a start-up environment with casual dress code and a range of perks your choice of high quality kit to work on.

Requirements:

Strong Ruby on Rails web development experience

Good knowledge of architectural Design Patterns with experience of leading architectural decisions for web applications

Good knowledge of testing frameworks with experience of Continuous Integration

Proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular

Ideally you will have experience with API design, documentation and scaling and knowledge of real-time, event driven and streaming protocols

Collaborative with a love of technology; keen to learn and share knowledge
