At Arkk we build world class compliance software across the Tax, Finance and Regulatory industries. Our solutions simplify the complex for our customers, and this new Senior UX Designer position will be at the heart of doing just that. You'll be at the centre of UX, UI and Research, driving all three in this fast paced environment.
For over 10 years Arkk Solutions has been at the forefront of taking the risk out of tax and financial reporting for global businesses. Our software frees up the finance functions of over 850 clients in 20 countries, including a quarter of the FTSE 350 and 10 of the top 20 UK accounting firms.
This year we launched for:sight our award-winning process management platform for tax experts. It's original design and innovative use of technology means for:sight is bringing colour to this typically grey market. We're now looking for an experienced UX Designer with a genuine focus on usability, function and design to help take our product to the next level.
Reporting directly to the Head of Product you'll take responsibility for the end user experience of for:sight, while supporting the overall product vision. This is an opportunity to join a team of experienced professionals, work with the latest technologies and, acting as the eyes of the user, directly contribute to the successful go-to-market of products which add real bottom line value to our customers.
Challenges you'll be working on:
We're constantly evolving our product to the challenges faced by hundreds of companies world-wide. In this role you'll be working towards that by:
Engaging in discovery and delivery stages of the product lifecycle
Advocating for "user centric" design principles
Leading user research initiatives and communicating findings back to company stakeholders
Producing assets to illustrate and communicate user journeys and product flows
Creating prototypes and MVPs, for Discovery purposes (i.e. test for value, usability, feasibility and viability)
Creating a simple and pain-free user experience, focusing on reliability and performance
Playing an active role in making sure design requirements are being met, before and after implementation
Always looking for quick improvement opportunities, while having the long-term vision in mind
Enhancing and maintaining the Design System
Building out your team, working with HR to recruit and hire the best people for the roles as the function expands. Although this role does not manage others today, it will not be long before it does.
We're looking for someone who's:
Versatile and pragmatic, knowledgeable about their craft, and who genuinely keeps the end user at the centre of every decision they're making.
Our company is focused on winning together and this is a highly collaborative environment. We encourage everyone to take part of the process of Product Development from sales through to our own Finance team, so you'll need to be confident working across departments.
We're a highly ambitious team with a true learning mindset and we work hard to challenge ourselves and each other to make sure we're meeting the customers and business' expectations.
You'll be joining as the first in-house designer, we've been working with a design agency, so this is an opportunity to make the role your own, but you'll need to hit the ground running, be highly self-motivated and be able to be hands on, while at the same time working strategically.
The perfect person is:
Looking to join a team of highly motivated, ambitious people who are committed to supporting each other to be the very best we can.
Our team of more than 80 people across Europe is continuously developing the platform to meet the challenges faced by our customers. Innovation in FinTech is ensuring we're not hindered by how it's always been done, but instead we're always asking how it can be done better. If this sounds as good to you as it does to us, then we want to hear from you.
