AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect Job Title: AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect# of Positions: 1Location: LondonOn-site/Remote: 100% On-SiteRate: Open (Competitive/Aggressive)Duration: 6 months+ Must Have: Strong experience designing, leading and coaching others on AWS best practices, solutions and services, to include significant hands-on experience, especially AWS core servicesDemonstrate a strong understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework to validate solution/architectureStrong understanding of different architectural designs for scaling a large multi-tier applicationStrong experience in architecting and migrating large scale applications to AWS, as well as Disaster Recovery solutionsStrong experience implementing CI/CD pipelinesStrong experience automating infrastructure builds (IaC) on AWSVery good experience with AWS VPC/Route53/Security/S3/EC2/IAM/Networking/AMI/billing/Account management/Cloudfront/RDS/EBS/tagging/EKS/CodePipelineExperience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Data Dog, container health management tools and cost management tools like CloudabilityStrong hands-on experience with CloudFormation, Chef, PuppetIn-depth knowledge of at least one high-level programming languageAWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional preferred) or DevOps Architect BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS degree or equivalent experienceProven experience driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation5+ years of strong architecture, design, implementation and hands-on experience with AWS solutions and servicesHands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experienceExperience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies requiredIntegration of cloud services with on premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)Experience in building AWS Landing Zone architectureScripting and/or coding skills (Chef, Puppet, Python)Ability to travel to client locations when needed PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environmentsSkilled at leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deploymentsStrong large-scale migration experience Data Center to Data Center and/or Data Center to CloudInfrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell)Configuration management using CloudFormation, Chef & PuppetStrong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environmentExperience defining operationalservice management practices, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notificationsDemonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
