My client is currently recruiting for a Web Accessibility Engineer on a 6-12 months contract based from their Middlesex office location.

The successful candidate will be well versed in web technologies (such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript) as well as an expert in Accessibility. The role will involve working closely with many teams simultaneously, and ensuring the best output from each team.

Essential Skills:

*In-depth knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript Excellent knowledge and understanding of WCAG 2.0 guidelines

*Excellent knowledge and understanding of WAI-ARIA

*Excellent knowledge and understanding of Mac OS X VoiceOver

*First-hand experience in testing with assistive technologies (more specifically screen readers such as VoiceOver, JAWS and NVDA)

*Familiarity with accessibility features on mobile devices

*Familiarity with project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile

*Past engineering experience

Desirable:

*Understanding of SEO principles will be a significant advantage, as well as experience with native apps
