Senior MI Developer £55,000 + Bonus Basingstoke Business intelligence / BI / SQL / SQL Server / Data warehouse / ETL / Reporting / SSAS / SSRS / SSIS / PowerBI / DPR Systems / Business Objects / Excel / VBA / CloudExperis IT are currently recruiting for a Senior MI Developer to join one of our Financial Services clients based in Basingstoke.The key purpose of the role will be to ensure that our internal customers have the data and insight that are required to underpin the high level of financial product innovation, pace of change and growth, and that they are delivered in the right way utilising best practice methods. This will be achieved through hands on programming working within multiple project based teams in a matrix style. You will be part of a small core team of data engineers and work closely with colleagues across product management, software engineering, quality, technology operations and infrastructure, as well of course as with key business, operations and commercial stakeholders.REQUIREMENTSGreat analysis and requirement gathering skills covering embedding best practice data analysis and development into business processesGood report creation and design skills - and the ability to work closely with the business in definition of complex reports.Able to translate business concepts into technical report specification.Previous experience developing MI/BI solutions (eg PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS, Business Objects etc).Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel / VBA.Have experience of T-SQL programming in MS SQL in addition to a breadth and depth of knowledge across Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQLTask management and group collaboration tools (eg Jira, Confluence).Excellent communication skills.Experience with documentation and specification writing.
