I have just had a role called in for a client with an urgent requirement. We have interview slots booked in for the end of the week. With a possible start date from 7th October.Contract Length: 8 monthsOvertime: Possible opportunity for overtime due to project deadlineHomeworking: Possible after initial probation periodHours: 40 hours per week. Hours between 7.00am - 6.00pm (can be flexible) Rates: Negotiable (in line with market rates) The Company: Based in Somerset the company offers a design, manufacture and installation of special purpose systems to the marine industry. Role: An exciting opportunity to be part of a cutting edge application in the marine industry. You will be reporting directly to CEO. Essential Requirements:-Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.-5 years Minimum in a high pressured design office environment- Solidworks 2019 Ideally experience in the following:Mechanical Assembly GD&T Sizing components according to load BOM & material selection Heat Treatments Surface Treatments Part Level Sub assembly Hand Calculations Loaded Rotation Understanding of Stress Analysis and FEA Processing 2D & 3D drawings An interest in marine industry Person: Must be an enthusiastic, trustworthy and motivated individual, as the role may require some lone working. Good communication skills as team members are often in and out of the office. Must live within a commutable distance to South Somerset or willing to stay away.
