Materials Handler/Warehouse Worker - 6 Months - CardiffMy client is looking for a Materials Handler/Warehouse Worker, and application, for an initial 6-month position based in Cardiff. The client is a large organisation and a leader in the healthcare industry.Materials Handler / Warehouse Worker Key Responsibilities:Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or fork liftsPhysically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departmentsQuantifies and verifies cycle countProcess material against purchase orders and work orders using electronic material management systemWork with appropriate logistics and production personnel to resolve/prevent shortagesPerform cycle audits and physical inventory per schedule.Help reconcile inventory discrepancies and report discrepancies to SupervisorComply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policiesRead and follow work instructions and bills of materialsPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedIdentify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required Candidate Criteria:Demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak in local languageProficient in basic mathematicsAbility to communicate well and work with othersBasic computer skillsAbility to consistently lift Vacancy Details:5 hours per weekIt's a shift pattern alternating between the following:Week 1: Monday to Thursday: 5.50am-2pm and Friday 5.50am-1pmWeek 2: Monday to Thursday: 1:50pm-10pm and Friday 12:50pm-8pmThe client operates a 3-break system: x2 15 minutes x1 30 minutes throughout the day (break every 2 hours)£9.84 per hour including shift allowanceOvertime may be offered during periods of high production demand - frequently run overtime on weekendsOvertime during the week = £14.76 per hourWeekend overtime = £17.22 per hourTemp Staff are eligible to apply for permanent vacancies before advertised externally
